Restoration and Revival of the Historic Tonekaboni Bathhouse and Changing Its Use to Noban Restaurant

The Tonekaboni Bathhouse in Qazvin was handed over to Hayat Company in 2010. This historic bathhouse was renovated and restored by changing its use to an Iranian restaurant.

The Noban Restaurant, which is currently in operation, has been renovated and restored in a modern way. Using photogrammetry and orthophoto images, very detailed maps of this beautiful bathhouse were prepared, and then the restoration design began.

The parts of this historic bathhouse include the Sarbineh, the Warm House, the Hall, the Middle Door, the Private Room, the Ton, the Treasury, and the Abriz Gah. After Hayat Company began designing, it discovered two other spaces, which included the pond and the backyard.

Currently, the Ton section of the bathhouse has been converted into a special reception area that has direct access to a small and beautiful backyard. With this design, the balance of the dark and dark space of the Ton has been established by connecting it to the small bright yard.
